16x2 LCD turns scrambled

Hi everyone,

I have a standard 16x2 LCD display that turns scrambled
with a lot of mixing symbols after been using it for a while.
has this happened to any of you? I don't think is the lcd,
neither the code that I have on the board.

I tried to attach a picture but there was an error.
I also tried to embed a url link with a picture,
and I see that is not being displayed.
Thanks

It would help tremendously to see the code you see. Post it in code tags. Format/indent it with T.

If you're using arrays, verify that you're not going outside array bounds. Bad things happen when you do that.

Thanks dougp, but I was not having issues posting a code, what I meant was, I could not upload the picture, but then I noticed it that it was due to the image size. the other problem I was having in this forum is "you cannot post, you need to wait 5 minutes before you can post again, etc.". in conclussion this simple and very simple code is on my board. again I don't think the problem is the error. this time I added a picture of the problem.

#include <LiquidCrystal.h>
LiquidCrystal lcd(7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12);

void setup() {
  lcd.begin(16, 2);
  lcd.setCursor(0, 0);
  lcd.print("Welcome");
  lcd.setCursor(0, 1);
  lcd.print("Project");
  delay(7000);
  }

void loop(){
  lcd.setCursor(0, 0);
  lcd.clear();
    delay(1000);
  lcd.print("3");
  delay(1000);
  lcd.print("2");
  delay(1000);
  lcd.print("1");
  delay(1000);
lcd.clear();
  }

Works fine for me. Recheck your LCD wiring and make sure the Arduino pin assignments match up with the correct pin names on the LCD.

Yes, the code works okay, and the problem it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does is very annoying.
Thanks dougp
