I ordered a Chinese 2.8 inch touchscreen for the arduino at aliexpress a while ago. When I first plugged it in to the arduino and tried the adafruit drivers, it did not work. After a while the seller sent me custom drivers. With the custom drivers I was able to get touch input from the screen via serial, but the screen still stayed white (backlight) no matter what.
