2.8 tft lcd shield

Hello guys

I'm trying a tft lcd for the first time and I have some problems.

The problem is this:
when I try to upload library from ardafruit I can't see anything on the screen but when I try with library from wiki it works perfectly.

can something be done to work with both libraries?
Or can you guys guide me to wiki library tutorials if i can't use ardafruit library

You have been a member for 3 years.

Please post a link to the actual display that you have bought.

Yes, that is a regular Blue Mcufriend style display.

It will come with many different controllers. The badly spelled LCDWIKI page suggests that it has an Ilitek ILI9341.

Adafruit_TFTLCD supports several controllers including ILI9341.
I suggest that you read the ID e.g. with the LCD_ID_readreg.ino sketch from MCUFRIEND_kbv examples.
Copy-paste the output from the Serial Terminal to your message.

Note that Adafruit_TFTLCD has been hacked by lots of people. I suggest that you delete all the hacked copies and install the genuine library from Adafruit via the IDE Library Manager.

When we identify your controller from the LCD_ID_readreg report we can advise whether to use genuine Adafruit or a hacked library. (some controllers are only supported by hacked version)

LCDWIKI provide some well written documentation for the hardware.
They do not seem to document the library methods. However they are very similar to UTFT methods with bad spelling. I suggest that you read the UTFT documentation. And learn to spell badly.

David.
