Hi to the community. Newbie here looking for some help with my project.
I built a two axes ( x and y) positioning device using dc motors and encoders. the machine has 4 switches (for homing). I'm trying to add a software safety feature to it meaning I want the system to stop should there arise a problem with my actuators, motors,etc...
I would truly appreciate having someone provide me some help with it, and I am willing to pay the person for their time helping me. Please pm me if you feel you can help me and I will provide you with my code and more details (schematics, etc..) on what I am trying to accomplish.
I truly appreciate your help.
Do you have the code up and running? completely with encode inputs, PID regulation and trjectory planning? Impressive in that case. Hats off.
But i hope i'm excused asking, if you posess that knowledge an e-stop should be no issue for you.
One thing to consider is that the e-stop should not be programmatic. I would use a separate circuit with relays breaking the power to the drive and spindle motors and signalling this to an arduino input.
If the project is still in planning please consider using dedicated servo drives like these

It will make the probability of project success much greater. Feel free to PM me
thank you fro your reply. I just pmd you
