I have trouble finding the address for my i2c LCD display. I've tried various i2c scanners but with no luck. I got not name for my display, so I won't be able to look it up. I've taken some pictures in hope you'll recognize the model.
Why don't you try looking at some of the many forum posts that have I2C and LCD in their title?
In any of the recent ones you will find a reference to the 'hd44780' library which should take care of your problem.

This display has an i2c backpack. Sketches like 'i2c_address_scanner.ino' checks for i2c addresses and report on Serial Monitor the found address.

That deals with only part of the problem in getting an I2C adapter to work.
