2 segments from 1 digit display not working

So I’m just testing with a 7 segment led display, and it turns out 2 segments aren’t working(f & g). Is there a way to solve it?

Sure, undo the screws holding it together & replae the LEDs.

Can you confirm with a 5V supply and say a 1K resistor that the segments actually work?

If it is common anode connect the anode to +5, and try each segment with the resistor to Gnd.

If is common cathode, connect the cathode to Gnd, and try each segment with the resistor to +5.

If the segments turn on, then you have a wiring problem, a software problem, or a problem with the hardware you are controlling the display with.

I’ve tried that, all segments turn on, except f & g. So would that mean that the 2 segments are broken?

Yes, it sounds like the digits are damaged/faulty.
