2016: the year of the Linux desktop on Windows

in the above picture you can see my last attempt to bring Gentoo/linux to Windows XP/32bit through CoNix/UML (user mode linux) which is now obsolete, since limited to WindowsXp/32bit only (which is also a deprecated product)

nice? possibly, certainly passed, gone, no doubt that nobody will care about it (except me), since something new is happening, in spite of the fact that ironically and causally it's happening on april fools' day, celebrated every year on 1 April by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes, but anyway … the event is flaming, since suddenly and magically the game really changed with the last unbelievable news ever: Microsoft and Canonical partner to bring Ubuntu to Windows10

Shocked? Enjoy, now you can run two spyware operating systems at the same time

Not so fast.

To day only porting of BASH (Bourne Again Shell) is achieved and will be available in the next major win10 update.
This is already a great progress.

Some predict that it is the beginning of the end for Windows.
Personally I wish it, but do not sell the skin of the bear before killing him.
