24v motor on 2x12v driver?

Hi there.

a question, is it possible to control a 24v motor using a

dfrobot dri0018

dual 12v driver?

is it possible to wire them like you would with 2 12v batteries?

I havent tried it yet, seems sensible to first ask if this is at all possible, before I blow out this expensive dtiver :wink:

This unit happens to work up to 35V so it is not a 12V driver at all, what ever made you think it was.
So yes you can control two 24V motors with this if you want.

input voltage goes to 35 v, yes, i read.
but… ouput is max 13.8 per channel.

so If I would want 24 volts out, how would I wire this stuff then?

I think that only refers to the the maximum output voltage at 15A. It is a power limitation not a driver limitation. So if you feed it with 24V the maximum current you should draw should be no more than 8.6A. Or you could add extra heat sinks on the FETs.

It is a pity that their is so little real information about this product.
