2N2222 Transistor Instead of Relay With 5v Mini Water Pump

Hi Everyone, Today I Am Asking if I Can Use a 2N2222 Transistor To Switch on A 5v Mini Water Pump instead of a Relay Module,I Am Unsure if The Concept Will Work So Can You Give Me Advice ? And If The 2N2222 Transistor Can't Handle Can You Tell Me Which Transistor Will Work? TIP120 Maybe?

Is the pumps stall current less than 600mA?

They Don't State a Stall Current, But Instead an 130 ~ 220mA Operating Current

I would suggest a MOSFET motor driver.

A IRLZ44 MOSFET would work.

You can always calculate it by meaning the coil resistance with digital multi meter and then using the applied voltage use ohms law to work out the current. This will be the stall current.
