3 digit 7segment Display pins

Hey Guys,
i got a set and there is a 3 digit Display with it (5631AS-1) at one side there are 6 pins on the other only 5 is it normal? Or is it broken/bad made

A set of what? Did you mean a sensor kit perhaps?

Can you upload photos of the display.

It might be. Is there any text printed on the board next to the pins?

Probably, there is noting broken.

This is a 3-digit multiplexed display unit. 8-pin for the 8-segment (a, b, ..., f, g) and 3-pin for the 3-cc/ca pins. The display unit should have (normally) 12 pins (symmetrical) with one pin unused.

Thanks for awnsering I am now at work but I can send you photos and more Information tomorrow.

Thanks

A few seconds search and here are how the 11 pins are connected.

The datasheet found by @oldcurmudgeon in the post above should tell you the pinout of the display.
