Hello people, on my arduino I can find the 'GND' label three times: http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/ArduinoADK_R3_Front.jpg two side by side on the lower edge between 5V and Vin one of the upper edge between AREF and digital pin 13 I guess the upper GND is the groud for the digital signal pins…

The GNDs are common. They are all connected and can all be used for either 5V or 3.3V.
