Check it out! We've been working on this for about 8 months now.www.nexusorg.org

Wow!

Don't think i'd care to stand underneath it though...

Andrew

Wow, looks really cool. Please post a lot more video's on your blog when it's finished ;).

Playing with fire is fun ;).

Well, call me old-fashioned, but I find it hard to think of an area with 92 flamethrowers as a "friendly gathering place" ::slight_smile:

I guess I'm just not Burning Man MaterialTM...

If anyone is interested, we've just released the Pyrosphere Sequencer, an web based app that lets the user make patterns, which we will use during performance.
heres the app:http://akrasia.org/pyro/

You really don't know if you're "Burning Man Material" until you go to Burning Man; it really can be a profound experience the first time (and the second...) - it was for me. I learned a lot about myself on that first trip; I went from a newbie to a full on Burner inside of three weeks. My first morning involved helping to get an orange-polka-dotted fur-covered Jetta running again - and got an awesome turkey sandwitch for the effort (and cheers from the crew when I saw them later on the Playa).

There's something about Burning Man - the people, the art, the fire - the experience; uplifting, inspiring...

I wish I could make it this year to see the Pyrosphere - it sounds awesome. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of getting the time off needed to go...

check out videos and photos of the finished project! I'm hoping for the "Most Flame Throwers Controlled by an Arduino" award
