I guess I'm just not Burning Man Material
You really don't know if you're "Burning Man Material" until you go to Burning Man; it really can be a profound experience the first time (and the second...) - it was for me. I learned a lot about myself on that first trip; I went from a newbie to a full on Burner inside of three weeks. My first morning involved helping to get an orange-polka-dotted fur-covered Jetta running again - and got an awesome turkey sandwitch for the effort (and cheers from the crew when I saw them later on the Playa).
There's something about Burning Man - the people, the art, the fire - the experience; uplifting, inspiring...
I wish I could make it this year to see the Pyrosphere - it sounds awesome. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of getting the time off needed to go...
