433 MHZ Sniffer Installation help..

Ok, I hope that this isn’t breaching any rules, or sounds stupid, but after thorough research I still feel like I’m trying to read instructions to build a rocket in Russian.

I have purchased a 433mhz Transceiver which is compatable with Arduino IDE: http://altelectronics.co.uk/shop/arduino/usb-rf-433-92-mhz-transceiver-module/prod_77.html

I am trying to use Arduino IDE to use the device as a RF Sniffer on 433.92 mhz. I have instructions here: http://ninjablocks.com/blogs/how-to/7501042-adding-rf-433mhz-to-your-arduino

I have got to the point where the device is recognised on COM3 and I get a red flashing light from time to time. I have tried to verify the sketch and I get the following error:

codesend.cpp: In function ‘int main(int, char**)’:
codesend.cpp:31: error: ‘wiringPiSetup’ was not declared in this scope

This is where I am at. If anyone has any input on what I am missing or what comes next it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi fit2fight

codesend.cpp: In function 'int main(int, char**)':
codesend.cpp:31: error: 'wiringPiSetup' was not declared in this scope

From the reference to main() and wiringPiSetup, it sounds like this may not be Arduino code. And in fact looking at the link from the web page you posted to GitHub, codesend.cpp is indeed under the RPI branch.

You need to download the programs from the Arduino side of that GitHub. And you will need to install the rc_switch library too, I think.
