5 or more DC Motors

Hey folks. I looked through the forums, but didn't really see what I was looking for. I'm looking to control at least 5 bi-directional DC motors for my next project. Is there some type of motor shield or controller that would allow me to do this with at least a little ease? I'm not sure if I wanted to do an arduino to arduino type hookup, but if thats what it needs to work, I can give it a shot. Thanks in advance.

You can stack up to 3 of our Rugged Motor Drivers on top of each other to control 6 DC motors bidirectionally (with a couple of simple shield mods, documented on the product page).

Alternatively you could look at a 3-axis driver shield like the grblShield. This is really meant for stepper motors but with some clever code you might be able to repurpose it for DC motors.

Well, that looks like that's what we need, just a little pricey to buy 3 of them. I saw that you guys had the "rugged" version of the Uno, do you guys make that type of board for the mega?

Cheaper than 3 Arduinos+motor driver shields ]

Nope, but we have had some people asking for it. Maybe if we get enough interest....
