Let me say again, using a 4051 for outputs is a bad idea. You need to say what you are trying to do and what you are trying to drive.
I need to have 24 x 6 buttons and pots
the '6' is the number of Analog input pins.
I'll use analog input pins both with analogread() and digitalRead()
