I was gifted this battery back. I was wondering if there is a way to use it with my 5v pro mini? Can I just hook it into raw and ground?

Yes, I am using just that arrangement on a quadcopter. Were you gifted a suitable charger as well ? Lipos need careful charging and deteriorate quickly if badly treated.
Yeah, I have a Turnigy Accucel 6 Balance charger, I had to buy the power supply but I got it charged up. I will try that, hope it doesn't pop anything.
