Hello, i have a 5v songle relay powering a light through some 1.5 mmp wires. I passed the phase throught the com and no contacts on the relay . I had a the wire terminal shorted where the light is suposed to say and i ve got flames, can the relay inner contacts be damaged?
Can you draw a diagram of what you had when it went wrong. Words don't cut it in electronics.
Does that no mean no as in nothing connected or N.O. meaning Normally Open?
Was there anything in the relay circuit or did you just short out the mains electricity?
This is generally not a good thing. Please post a diagram of how everything is connected.
Probably, with power OFF, take the blue cover off and inspect the contacts.
My guess is, they've been vaporized.
What u mean by vaporied ?
Remember that "got flames" deal?
Got so hot that the metal turned into a metal gas. You will see that has then condensed on the inside of the blue cover if you can take it off.
Sounds like time to archive in the round filing cabinet on the floor.
