Hello everyone!
I am working on the control of a robotic arm using Arduino Uno. I have four Tower Pro MG995R servo motors, each has a stall current 2.5A. So this means that i should supply 10A for my project. I have a power supply of 6V 20A and want to externally power the servos using it. Please guide how it can be done? how circuit can be made? what wires to use? how to connect different components like Arduino potentiometers encoders so all are safe with such power supply? can breadboard be used? Kindly have your views.
Thanks.
It wiil be safe
No breadboards.
Jumpers must be short
Make sure that ALL grounds (GND) are connected

Directly connecting a 6V 20A power to four servo motors...will servo wires handle this? and if i can not use breadboard how can i connect arduino, potentiometers, encoders and robotic arm?
Unless the manufacturer of the servos gave you cheap wires, we have to assume they can handle the curent.
You can use the breadboard for low current things like pots, encoders, push buttons, single LEDs and the servo signal but NOT for the servo power.
The servo power power should be connected diretly from the power supply to the servos.
Don't forget that all grounds(GND) should be connected together.
