7 pins on fingerprint sensor

This fingerprint sensor arrived a short while back from China.
Another Ebay purchase where the seller can't be a&#ed to put a piece of paper in with the connections or put them on the selling page.

Anyway... I have finally boycotted Ebay because 50% of my purchases these days turn out to be complete crap (UK stuff too) or some other issue.

Off course here! ....

Any idea what the 7 pins on this thing are? I can find no reference at all.
All sensors on Google appear to be 6 pin. Its also entirely possible that this connector is in around the wrong way (Red could be on the right)... the lead had the same plug on both ends.
Also, a lot of the 6 pin variations have wildly different pins in.

I opened it up and tried to identify the power regulator or something to try and work out the pins, but everything has its ID removed.

Can't even work out ground, as nothing doesn't appears to be connected to the pcb flooded plane.

Possibly more landfill I fear

Anyway, yep... I found those, but they don't match up.

I worked out a couple of the SOT chips on the PCB and their supply pins, and they don't marry up to the wiring either

Really annoying.... I appear to have about the only 7x wire version ever made!
I have found hundreds of connections for 6 pins or 8 pins.

My only option is to entirely strip it, photograph the pcbs and try to backwards engineer it.

Seeing as it was a 'chuck it in the basket and see' item, its probably just not worth it.

Think I may save myself the grief and simply put 5v on it... watch the puff of smoke and bin it

OK...

Found the processor data. Found the Touch controller IC data.
Bit of reverse engineering.. worked out the pins

Plus, I found this picture with 7x wires (not the same connector as mine)

Connected it all up..... sweet f#

i have a fingerprint scanner that I have had for almost a year it might be more the link 7 pins on fingerprint sensor - Sensors - Arduino Forum my wires are all gray with one red one they are labled rst,vin,gnd,r/p,t/n,3.3,wap I have never made it work and just started to mess with it agian
