7 Segment LED Display

Hi. I was not sure if i should post in the Displays section or this one, so correct me if I put it in the wrong place. I was wondering if this: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062557&CAWELAID=107599317 would be compatible with Arduino, and how I would hook it up This is the data sheet:http://images2.powerreviews.com/media_popup.html?type=image&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpowerreviews.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fimages_customers%2F00%2F46%2F19554502_142158_full.jpg We are planning on going to radio shack this evening so a timely answer would be preferable.

Thanks, Jack

Yes, can be made to work. Not too hard. Get some current limit resistor too, 220-270-330 kind of values, one per segment planned for use (7 plus decimal point(s)).

Wire the common cathode to arduino ground pin.
Wire each segment to a resistor to an arduino pin.
Writing high will turn the segment on.

Will these work? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062319

Yes, will work fine. Do you have a solderless breadboard and solid 24 guage wire for connecting things up on? (like 4 conductor phone wire?)

I have a mini soderless breadboard and a lot of jumper wires.
