74hc4067 and 74hc4051 connections control pins

hi i have a question, multiplexer 74hc4067 has 4 control pins and 74hc4051 has 3 control pins.
if 74hc4067 are connected to Arduino pins 4,5,6,7

s0=4
s1=5
s2=6
s3=7

i can connect 74hc4051 to the same pins?

s0=4
s1=5
s2=6

or i need to use deferent pins? like

s0=7
s1=8
s2=9

Can use the same pins for multiple 74HC4067 and/or 74HC4051 chips.

The “selector switches” of the chips then are of course in the same position.
But that is ok if you e.g. connect the outputs to different analogue inputs.

Maybe you should tell us why you want to do this.

i do a project that has 2 74hc4067, and i run out off outputs, but i dont need 16 more outputs that 74hc4067 have. i need 3 or 5 so i thing to use a smaller ic.

The truth tables in the two datasheets will tell you which output is active.
The EN (enable) pin of the 4051 could be the fourth select pin.

This makes a lot of work for me, and I do not have the time, as others need it. Take the time to draw a schematic and post it. Hand drawn or with CAD, either is OK. Be sure pins are labeled. Frizzy pictures a schematic they do not make. You might also post your code.
