768 - Channel Led Driver

hello,

I had build a 4x4x4 RGB Cube und a 8x8x8 RGB Cube. But know I want to build a big one. A 16x16x16 with 4096 Leds. But I have a Driver problem.

In the past I had used a couple of TLC5040 but know I would need 48 of them. Has anyone a Idea wich RGB-Driver / LED Driver I can use instead ?

King Regards,
ExLoop

EDIT: I don't want to use WS2812 because it is too expensice ( and I think there are too slow) . But maybe you know a low cost model ?

So you have 16x16x16 RGB LEDs? And need 48 16-channel drivers per layer? Yup, building something 8 times
the size is going to take 8 times the hardware.

You're up to the scale where its advantageous to add a microcontroller per layer or per several layers, allowing
greater brightness in the multiplexing and upping the computation and I/O bandwidth.
