I found the data sheet.
Says .33uF on input & .1uF on output
Symbols are NOT polarized.. (but I thought I had used electrolytic caps in the past without issue... whether by mistake or not)
But your initial comment says an electrolytic cap MIGHT beneficial/needed?
A pcb is already created, and there are two spots for caps 1 on input, 1 on output.
Using the 7805 v. regulator...
If .33uF are required.. I'll use them.. (was hoping not to, and possibly an elec type cap)
So there have been many replies... different answers/approaches I guess as well..
but the majority is saying:
1 x .33uF ceramic disc cap
1 x .1uF ceramic disc cap
*ie: just following the datasheet.. but making sure they are NOT electrolytic type caps.
Correct?
