8 RGB LEDs + EXT 5V & ARDUINO

Hi everybody:

I am a new member.
I got some knowledge in electronics and very fascinated with Arduino.

I got this project to illuminate a 3D printer very close to nozzle with 8 RGB LEDs and have light fading into the color very very very slowly.

I've seen how can make work with 1 led, maybe 2 with 220 ohms resistor and 5v with Arduino.
But I want more power!!

I am thinking maybe with external 5v USB supply.
Parallel or serial?
Can you please help me to make it work?
Do I need schematics too?

This de code that I use for long colors fade in one RGB.

An Arduino pin (say on a Uno) should not power a device at more than 20mA directly. Can you supply a link to the leds you want to use? These will dictate the power supply requirements and the switching method.

I am gonna use Adafruit

How else are you going to know what to connect to what?

But I want more power

Are we talking about light or electric power?

You will need a power source capable of giving half an amp of current to turn all those LEDs on full at the same time.
