I have a project that requires this Shotkey diode, to build a spot welder:

VS-100BGQ015 "Schottky Diodes & Rectifiers 100 Amp 15 Volt 5000 Amp IFSM"

Mouser Part

It's the most expensive part in the whole kit. At $5.00 is not going to put me in bankruptcy. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a simular (or better) replacement diode that might be more common and less expensive.

That is the cheap option for 100 A forward current, at least on Mouser. Only way you could get cheap is by going for a lesser spec device or paralleling up multiples of cheaper devices.

Ok thanks. I guess I'm spoiled, used to paying $.99 to receive 100 of something -lol. I understand.
