A few questions about RFID

I want to create a new project with arduino and active RFID tags,

  1. can you use an rfid to get a location, maybe something like GPS or at least distance and angle from the reader?
  2. I understand that bi-communication is up to 100meters in the best RFID chips, but can you have only one side communication(the reader gets info from the tag) for more then 100m?

No. Generally not.

You could use wireless communication to send GPS data but that’s not generally considered “RFID”.

It’s just a matter of having a strong-enough transmitter and a sensitive-enough receiver at each end. Depending on the radio band and power you want to use your local jurisdiction may require a radio operator’s license.
