OK, I have many hobbies and have been wanting to enter the "micro controller world" for some time and picked up a starter kit that included the MEGA board. After many days I got the software to take. My hobbies are RC planes, collecting traffic lights and Halloween, yes Halloween. We do a setup each year for the kids and adults. I have taught myself PLC programming which controls my Halloween projects and run the signals. Here is where maybe some of you might be able to help with my last hobby, RC planes. Looking for a sketch to operate strobes, fading beacon and landing lights. I have tested the faders, strobes but trying to get them to work together is the wall I have been hitting. Can someone give me some ideas? Dave
You have to tell more what you want to do.
Do you want to do multiple things at the same time ? See the Blink Without Delay, http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/BlinkWithoutDelay There are also libraries for timing different tasks.

Yes, that is called program structure and it can be a wall for beginners. One thing that can help is to read as many sketches as you can lay your eyes on and see how such multi-task sketches are performed. It's more a mind set to break away from simple linear thinking. Unfortunately PLC programming kind of abstracts away how a multitasking application actually operates and allows simple linear thinking to work even with multiple independent tasks.
