Can you locate your shift and punctuation keys?

dude really im asking for help with the lcd not the grammar

It's significantly harder to read your post and figure out exactly what you're trying to say without capitalization and punctuation.

You'll get a far larger number of far more useful replies if you spend the extra couple seconds to use proper punctuation and capitalization.

How about tucking that attitude under your stack of favorite science books and try again. You should provide links to where you got your display. No one has a crystal ball. Plus, no code, no high-res picture to show how you made the connection etc.

Try again with proper language/info or bang on that stack of books as an alternative.

  1. i dont have a attitude i came here asking for help but instead i got put down for not having proper grammar.
  2. if someone would of asked me for all that i would have delivered it up nicely but i got put down for not having proper grammar.
  3. forums are for helping other people who are in the same hobby/interest but to my agnolage this one is not like that. but instead some reside here to cut down.
  4. if you would come to my forums asking for help with your reef tank i would gladly help you out and so would hundreds of other people with any problems you have that's why we are their to teach and to learn not to put you down for spelling or capitalization.

sorry dude i don't read science books i read marine biology ,politics and stock market.

No one has said anything about you being dumb. On the other hand, no one has received your question well either. You take honest suggestions as offense. There's got to be a word for that on your forum too. If you sat down and read my request for information and provided them in some commonly accepted form around here, you would have got helped. Anyway, I'm still open to help if you are open to use proper language and provide information needed. Do have this in mind, no one owes you an answer. You are asking for a favor here, so ask nicely and nice replies should you receive.

Yikes....

OP, do you have a contrast control wired up? I have no idea what your circuit or code looks like, could you post up those things?

On my NHD serial LCD, the contrast control is via command <0xFE><0x52>

If you do not have a pot to adjust contrast, try throwing in a line in your lcd_init code and play with the byte value..

Hope this works for you..
