A way to measure current in software?

Our micro is in deep sleep mode and we need to measure the current. Since its probably less then 100uA, we cant measure with a good standard Amper-meter .(nor can we wait a month to get the new one)

I know there is a class to measure the chip's own voltage -so he knows what voltage is feed to him.

Is there any way to measure the current at sleep with software ? without any external heavy tools ?

No. You need a suitable meter.

Power it through a diode in parallel with 1k. In low power mode you'll see 1mV across the resistor for
each uA passing. In high current mode the diode will ensure enough current can flow.
