As we don't know anything about what you want to do with it, we can't advise if an Uno is a good choice.

Of the Arduino devices out there, the Uno R3 is the first that one should experience before all others. It is the de facto Arduino 101 and has the largest library of all the Arduino products. Start with an Uno and see the Arduino world :wink: I always suggest two, just in case you get into trouble :stuck_out_tongue: The second Arduino does not have to be a "pure breed".
