Aarg here. I've been on the forum since 2015, that was when I found out about Arduino and began to play around. I am simply saying goodbye. I have requested that my account be closed. I don't think the reasons need any discussion, in fact let's please not get into that here and now.
Actually, the reason for this post, is to express gratitude for the camaraderie and support that I found here, and to acknowledge the many virtual friendships that I made during my time here.
Also, my encouragement and well wishes for the brave beginners who took it upon themselves to learn about microprocessors and software by means of this pivotal platform.
Your kidding me, you have given many people great advice in the past.
There is a rumor that no ever leaves the forum, so hopefully you'll be
back after a break.
In 2007, Don Henley said: "I know, it's so boring. It's a song about the dark underbelly of the American Dream, and about excess in America which was something we knew about."
In 2013, he added: "It's a song about a journey from innocence to experience."
Well, I unexpectedly have lasted longer than you. Who'da thunkit? Three self-assigned timeouts have allowed me to at least continue to read the forum, and occasionally contribute a thought or two, but I do understand the departure theme.
Take care, maybe grab a pint and join us on the deck of the Titanic some day!
Sorry to see you go, it's been good corresponding with you. I don't know the reasons for leaving, but I certainly understand that sometimes it can just be time to move on. Been There.
