About BTS7960B capability

Hey Guys,

I am stuck about an issue and need help. As you notice, i am a novice at electronics

I want to drive 2 motors seperately (not synchronised) with one BTS7960B module. No reverse motion required. But i am stuck of connections. I have a 24 V power supply for motors, and a 7,4 V for arduino. BTS7960B has B+, B-, M+, M-, connection ports on it. When i in put 24V power supply positive and negative to B+ and B- i have M+ and M- left.

I think of connecting M+ to one motors positive and M- others positive then link both motors negative and connect this linkage to 24 V power supply's negative.

But i am a little confused about frying sth.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

That's basically the way to do it - you have two half-H-bridges, the motor returns to either
supply rail (but if to the positive you'll have minimum PWM producing maximum drive,
so stick to your plan.

The BTS7960 module has two independent BTS7960's I presume, each is a half-H-bridge,
so using as two half-bridges is easy. However if you provide more details of the actual
module it could be useful to confirm they haven't commoned-up some of the inputs
(perhaps enable?)

Hi, MarkT,

Thank you for your reply, i have tried to control 2 motors with semiconductor bts7960 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Arduino-Semiconductor-BTS7960B-Stepper-Motor-Driver-43A-H-Bridge-Drive-PWM-/131077219871) but it was not successfull actually.I have enabled both Len and Ren, give pwm to right and left but, it does not work. Does it have a mode that i can use this shield as half bridge?
As you can see in the link, there is two option, but i did not understand second option as it says "Ren and Len short circuit and PWM signal connected to high speed" As a novice, i cant refer a meaning to this.

As you can see at the link(http://www.robotpower.com/downloads/MegaMoto-user-manual.pdf), this board can be used as full bridge mode and as half bridge mode.

The question is, the shield at first link (Semiconductor bts7960b.......), could be used as 2 half bridge mode? or is there a mode like that in second link (megamoto)

If anybody can help, please do not hesitate

Best Regards.
