Read your entire thread. I have the exact same issue, with the same board type (Arduino Uno R4 Wifi). A few weeks ago it still worked - I was able to establish a wireless connection, upload code, and run code. Things I tried:
- Removing devices and add them again.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the Arduino Create Agent (current version 1.3.8-d844fc). When launching the agent, it asks to perform some kind of update - a bug?
- Rebooting the computer and Cloud software.
- Buying a new Arduino Uno R4 Wifi, adding, removing and adding again. In none of the cases I am able to establish a wireless connection. When I try to upload code using a cable, I get the firmware update issue.
I suspect it might be an issue of the Arduino Create Agent, it appears to not be able to install drivers. See here: https://forum.arduino.cc/t/arduino-create-agent-unable-to-install-drivers/1219335
