hi, probably not arduino, but i need a speed controller motor, tried with steppers, but i could never make it work the way i wanted, now i have brushed AC motor, can a dimmer work??, its a small motor about 750w or less maybe its like 1/24 hp, i have seen videos that a dimmer work, but not so sure about it,
i have already an hall sensor ad arduino to count rev, but, i need to control speed, any ideas??
What about a variable speed drive.
A lot of VSD's can take a variable input signal to control speed.
750W equals about 1HP. You then say it's 1/24HP Which is it ?
If only 1/24HP (ie about 30 to 40 watts) then then a simple light dimmer may work for you
If 750W then you need to look at a phase controlled AC motor speed controller

im sorry it was a bad reading its 35w not 750w, its a very small motor, but a dimmer without anything extra should be ok??
