AC turn on/off using UNO

Hey all,i am trying to turn on/off an AC using the ARDUINO with no success.
i took the remote control and transmitted to the ARDUINO receiver,copy the code (as a raw data-from the ARDUINO examples) and try to transmit it. the AC didn't respond.
also the receiver was reading different code from the one i told it to.

someone can help me how to turn ON/OFF an AC please? i d'ont know what to do anymore.

What device do You use to turn off the AC?
I use a solid state AC relay connected to an UNO. No problem at all.

I think the problem may be in your code or in your circuit or even a combination of the two.
