Can anyone recommend an accelerometer that is sensitive enough to measure camera shutter vibration using an Arduino? While I don't actually need the shutter vibration data, it makes a useful reference to measure other vibration that would affect the sharpness of an image. The shutter vibration is pretty easy to visualize by putting a shot glass of water on top of the camera and triggering the shutter, but this method is kind of hard to program into the Arduino :).

I should have said measuring the shutter vibration is secondary to measuring vibrations that are large enough to affect image sharpness. It would be nice to be able to compare the shutter vibration on different cameras when it was time to buy a new one or to spend endless hours on dpreview.com arguing about it:) It could also be used to set the optimum time for an exposure by measuring the length of the shutter first curtain opening vibrations.
shutter vibration definitely affects image sharpness depending on the mount etc, its what 'mirror lockup' is there for If you're trying to image a fixed object on a manual exposure it would be more apparent. another way to possibly measure vibration would be to take an image of a small(fibre optic?) fixed point of light from a distance, the wobble will show up on the sensor.
