Thanks John! I was just about to post that I had read the Knock tutorial when it warned me that you had posted... I was planning on using just one Arduino and running wires. I was thinking of using rj45 or maybe rj12 cables. I have a crimper and extra ends laying around. The piezo disk looks like it would be ideal (easier to wire up and cheaper). Thanks again.
