There are probably official Government standards for all or parts of a fire safety system.
Have you got copies of them? Have you thought of looking for copies of them?
There are probably a system of official certificates for fire control systems and testing by approved bodies is probably required.
It may even be that your system needs to be approved systematically during the development process.
Have you spoken to any of the approval agencies?
