Access GPS module on its own port

I have the "OFFICIAL" MKR GPS shield.
It shows un device manager as picture below.

How do I access it directly to read it ?
Connected via the supplied cable and not stacked.

Screenshot shows "Cannot open COM 11)"
Previously, in your Dev Mgr list, it was "COM 16".

The UBLOX is on COM 11.
MKR is on COM 16

You're supposed to tunnel into the MKRGPS through the ublox, despite the MKR showing up as a COM (COM16) ?
