I'm just wondering when i connect the wemos D1 mini pro to my wifi at home, would it be possible to build my own website and i can use that website to communicate with the wemos D1 mini pro from anywhere?
I know i can use the ip address to access it from anywhere, we currently have that for our security camers but i'm wondering if i use my own website link instead of the ip address?

Probably. You will probably need to configure your router to accommodate the wemos on its network. Many web cams (at least the foscam) have a built in dynamic IP address service. You will need to set the router to port foward/virtual server the incoming request to the wemos. I have the no-ip dynamic service, but I've also used the dynamic IP address used by my foscam to access my wemos on my network.
