I am working on driving a oled display, and I would like to be able to read in and send data from a text file over the serial line (actually, P1 pbm file which is ascii encoded). One option is I could load it from my pc, into the flash of the arduino OR (even better), send it serially using the console (or some other software).
Does anybody have any ideas?
Sending it serially is easy. Processing can open files, and the contents can be streamed to the serial port.
The Arduino can read from the serial port.
Typically, though, bitmap files are large. The whole file will need to be help in memory on the Arduino. What do you intend to do with the file once it's on the Arduino?
GoBetwino can read txt files for you and send the data to Arduino.
