Accidentally wired 12 volts of current to pin 7

I accidentally ran 12 volts to pin 7 due to the switch I used. Now pin 7 is dead and the future of the rest of the pins/board is unknown. I used a three prong switch wired to pin 7 as ground to trigger a program while the remaining pin on the three prong switch was connected to 12v for the switche's light.

Since the unit is already installed and wired I cannot remove it so I have to install the IDE on the laptop and connect it to the unit to reprogram it once I see if the unit's light goes on.

You just made a statement.
What is your question?

You may be able to change the pin and reprogram.

The reason it happened is a concern. It shows a lack of design. There should never be any way of doing what you did if designed properly.
