totally new here , im wanting to control a dc motor in a handbrake so im looking to turn on to a given load and then a timed off
the motor unit pull 170 newtons at around 1.2 amps , acs712 is proposed for the load sensing and a nano to operate relays
plan is to use the relays to give pole reversal for the off section and power

Do you have the acs712 in your hand or do you have the break out board in your hand? Looks like they are both discontinued and no stock is available.
Except for the current sensing, all of your project is doable for testing without using an Arduino.
