Activate Pushbuttons of a Mobius Camera

Hello,

Looking to activate pushbuttons with an Arduino Nano.
I'd like to keep the camera intact ie keep said buttons functional.

A simple test with a wire (see picture below) showed that connecting 2 pins brings the camera ON or OFF (long press) and activates/stops the recording (short press)

Would an octocoupler work in this instance ? Simply send 5V with the arduino to the octocoupler on one side and link the two "pins" of the camera to the other ?

Sodlering this looks like it's going to be difficult though, is there any other way other than using a servo/stepper to physically push on the buttons ?

You can wire relay contacts in parallel to the push buttons. This solution will always work.

Opto couplers may or may not work, you'll have to find out yourself. Pay attention to the voltage polarity of the button contacts, + to collector, - to emitter.
