i found a really nice 4x4 button pad which doesn't need those 8 pins and an additional ic for using less arduino ins.

i was searching a long while, but i really wasn't able to get what exactly an "ad port" means.
could somebody please help me?
is it just an analog in, what means a0-a5 on the arduino uno?
