Hi Community,
I have a big problem with my new servo shield which i bought at amazon.
If i stack it onto my arduino uno the power LED(VCC) lights red. But when I
plug in an external power suplie ( 4 AA batteries 6V) The LED for the exrternal
bateries won´t turn on. It Also smells bad after a few seconds. It smells like something
is burning. I don´t know how to fix this. It would be nice if someon can help.

one thing to ad. The area around the connector for the power suplie gets very hot, when I connect the batteries

Sounds like a bad board. You should return in for a new one.

The only problem I can think of is if you somehow short-circuited the power block terminal. If you have a multimeter you should check that the + and - terminals are not shorting.
