Adafruit Logger, changing Leonardo behavior

Hi Guys, I'm running into a problem with my adafruit logger.

I gutted a calliper (3v) an d connected it with 4 wires to a Leonardo. I found a skecht on th web that works fine.
Next step is that I want to log this data on an Adafruit logger. All is fine but my clock port. (digital 2) For some strange reason as soon as I attach the shield, digital port 2 become powered with 5v. I've even cut off the pin from the shield and soldered a wire to the back of the leonardo. but the 5v is apparently now coming from the Leonardo..

Is there a breaker on the shield i need to cut or something?

Still don't know why this is happening but for future reference I solved it by adding a level shifter between the 5v clock and the 3v calliper.
