I have an Adafruit Motor Shield V1, the problem is that it is not powering up. I tried using 8x AA Duracell batteries and 4x AA Duracell but the led does not light up. Instead the batteries and the wires connecting them to the board heat up really fast. The batteries are new and there is not short in the circuit since i'm using AA battery cases
