adafruit protoshield for Mega

I'm trying to make my project permanent and I'm using the adafruit protoshield for the Arduino mega

In my breadboard, I had to put a resistor attached to the push button. This protoshield comes with a button so I was wondering if I still need to somehow solder a resistor with this pushbutton? Or does the protoshield take care of this already?

Hi, That version of the Mega protoshield has no components such as resistors or LEDs. So it's up to you.

You can wire a pushbutton from ground to an I/O pin and use the Arduino Internal Pullup so you don't need a resistor.

Some versions come with Power LED and button wired as Reset like THIS:
